Skittles

Skittles' foster family's guess is that Skittles got his name because he looks like he ate too many! Also known as Big Boi, he is very large and chubby for a leopard gecko, which makes him adorable and quite easy to handle. He walks right on your hand when you hold it out and loves exploring without getting too skittish. Skittles has also served as a reptile ambassador while visiting his foster parents' neighborhood bike shop- what a friendly guy!

While his size is indeed charming, it also makes Skittles more of a prince than a skilled hunter. He loves being hand- (or tong-) fed, and will sit at his water bowl when it’s not full enough for His Highness’ preference. His favorite meal is mealworms, though he will eat (slow) crickets and dubia roaches.

Anyone would be lucky to land on such a big, smiley, well-tempered Leo. His whole foster family, including kids aged 4 and 7, has loved handling and caring for him during their time as a foster family.
