As of August 14, 2026 CLEAR is on hiatus from accepting all new intakes for the foreseeable future so that we can focus on caring for the critters currently in our population.

When reaching out please note that we are unable to accept aquatic turtle relinquishments.
Q: Do you accept aquatic turtles?
A: Unfortunately we receive inquiries regarding relinquishing aquatic turtles several times a week, and we just don't have the capacity for them at this time. I suggest you reach out to friends and family, local schools and other educational facilities, and the community in general to see if there are other resources available for your turtle(s).
Q: What types of animals do you accept?
A: We work mainly with birds and reptiles. However, we review relinquishments on a case by case basis.
Q: Can I donate my pet to CLEAR?
A: Like any other nonprofit animal rescue, do not accept "donations" of pets. The decision to accept a relinquished pet costs our 100% volunteer organization time, resources, and money. Please consider helping us accomplish our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming other exotic animals and educating the public about their specific needs by making a donation today.
