Chickpea

Writer: F JohnsonF Johnson

Chickpea looks like a little falafel ball! We all want to know why the Russian Tortoise tried to cross 18th Street in the South Loop all by himself, but the world may never know. Chickpea was found in the middle of the street by a wonderful good Samaritan, who called us to rescue him. We don't know how old Chickpea is, but we know he's an adult male. Tortoises require multidecadal commitments, and with a proper diet, good enrichment, and an appropriate enclosure this handsome falafel ball can easily live into his 50s. Luckily, Chickpea comes with a brand new terrarium to help start the next chapter of his life right. Do you need help eating your greens? If so, Chickpea is the guy for you!
